Nursery Operations Manager - Clapham

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year

Full time 40 hours (4.5 days)

Experience:

  • Nursery: 3 years (required)
  • Childcare: 4 years (required)
  • Management: 1 year (preferred)



We offer:

- 40 hour working week (8am-6pm 4 days per week and a half day off each week)

- 31 days holiday (including bank holidays and 9 days off over Christmas and Easter)

Job description:


  • At our next OFSTED inspection our rating raise our rating
  • Role model and secure Outstanding Quality of Teaching
  • 100% compliance with OFSTED requirements at all times
  • Ensure our parent partnerships remain strong
  • Ensure that the nursery remains at 80%+ occupancy with a deep waiting list
  • Substantively reduce staff turnover to c. 3 staff per annum
  • Ensure that staffing levels and staffing costs are efficiently structured to avoid use of expensive agency staff
  • Raise the profile of the nursery through targeted partnerships and publications

Organisation and planning – plans, organises, schedules and budgets in an efficient, productive manner. Focuses on key priorities.

Efficiency -Able to produce significant output with minimal wasted effort by self, team or directors

Ability to hire quality staff– sources, selects and persuades the highest quality teachers to join our team

Ability to develop people – coaches people in their current roles to improve performance and prepare them for future roles

Calm under pressure – maintains stable performance when under heavy pressure or stress or during times of crisis management

Honesty and integrity – does not cut corners ethically. Earns trust and maintains confidence.

Common sense – demonstrates common sense thinking at all times

Listening skills – lets others speak and seeks to understand their viewpoints

Teamwork – reaches out to peers and cooperates with supervisors to establish cooperative working relationships

Analytical – able to structure qualitative and quantitative data and draw insightful conclusions from it.
